Customize or Disable Windows 7’s Action Center [Windows 7 Tip]

Windows 7 ’s Action Center does a great job of compressing all of Windows’ update/alert/whatever notifications into one icon, but it takes some tweaking to make it show what you want, or disable it entirely. At the How-To Geek’s home away from Lifehacker, his partner in serious Windows customization, Mysticgeek, details the process of defining exactly which kind of system message get displayed through the Action Center’s little white flag icon. It’s all done through the Control Panel and right-click options, no registry hacking required, but the process might not be apparent to Windows 7 newcomers.

UTILIZZARE FREEPOPS PER LEGGERE I NOSTRI MESSAGGI SU OUTLOOK EXPRESS O SU WINDOWS MAIL

Da tempo ormai alcuni provider non permettono di scaricare la posta dei nostri account che abbiamo presso di loro, direttamente sul nostro client di posta, sia esso Outlook Express oppure Windows Mail.

Con l’installazione di questo semplice programmino possiamo visualizzarli in maniera ottimale, riporto i parametri di Libero ma la lo stesso si può fare con Gmail, Inwind etc.

Dopo aver installato FreePOPs ed aggiornato i file *.LUA scaricandoli direttamente dal sito e mettendoli nella cartella LUA nella directory d’installazione ( sul sito è presente anche una forma standalone che va soltanto scompattata in una cartella ad hoc )

Naturalmente prima si avvia FreePOPs( l’iconcina verde si vede nella System Tray ) e poi si lancia Outlook Express o Windows Mail. Se desideri che FreePOPs si avvi con l’avvio di Windows è sufficiente inserire un collegamento dentro la cartella esecuzione automatica (Start>Tutti i Programmi>Esecuzione automatica)

Settare i nostri account adattando i parametri a Freepops:

La scheda SERVER dell’account:
Posta in arrivo (POP3): localhost oppure 127.0.0.1
Posta uscita (SMTP): quella relativa a chi ti fornisce il collegamento internet

Nome account: tuonome@libero.it
Password: la tua password

La scheda IMPOSTAZIONI AVANZATE:
Posta uscita (SMTP): 25
Il server non necessita di spunta
Posta in arrivo (POP3)= 2000
Il server non necessita di spunta
